Once again Ms Morton tries to make loose connections where her evidence is sketchy, made-up, baseless and more importantly omits facts that do not support her theories. Morton knows very little about Fraser Sockeye that it's amusing seeing these new theories of hers. She doesn't even know where they spawn in a major interior lake. When information is made readily available she still can't get it straight. What is really funny is that she accuses government and industry of hiding and omitting information, but she is the biggest offender out there. There are still some lab results from this virus testing she still hasn't posted, but still makes conclusions about them in the public and media. When Kristi Miller said something that didn't fit her theory she omitted it from her last film. Apparently disclosure doesn't apply to "independent" biologists. It's more important to keep the followers in-line so they will be encouraged to hit the GoFundMe button.
Want to support something worthwhile? Go support people like Chris or Dave in their volunteer efforts. Buy a Salmon Conservation Stamp where all the money now goes to the Pacific Salmon Foundation for salmon enhancement and habitat rehabilitation projects. Join a local Fish and Game club and volunteer your time on fish habitat projects. Want to be educated about Fraser Sockeye Salmon? Go out to the Adams River next month and take in the festival and listen to the experts doing interpretation (volunteering their time).
Chances are we will never see all of her results. Don't bother looking for the Department of Wild Salmon website to find those results - the site doesn't exist anymore. Where are her results from the water samples she took from Quesnel Lake? It's been over a month now and apparently not a word from her on this, but it didn't prevent her to speculate while she was visiting the area - acting like some saviour. Meanwhile the province has continued routinely posting results (including raw data) for the public, including First Nations groups, to see.
As for fish farms being "irrelevant" I can see a person who dislikes fish farms would likely say that; however, when you look at the value of the industry in BC and the fact that aquaculture worldwide is growing each year it is hardly irrelevant.
