Chilliwack River, October 28th 2014
« on: October 28, 2014, 10:55:03 AM »

Since the rain didn't really come last night, I decided to bring a couple of guests from the UK out at first light today. We fished a big pool where coho salmon could be seen circling around. Casting and retrieving 1/4oz Gibbs Croc spoons did the trick. The bites lasted 30 minutes at dawn and we managed to beach two hatchery coho salmon while losing a couple more and missing a bunch.

I thing I would use the word "friends" instead of "guests" unless you have a guide license or some one was with you that had a license.

Calm down Islanddude - man, people find anything to criticize on the web these days.  Nice fish Rod! Sure seems like you moved to the Wack or something

You can say whatever you want. It only counts if they're paying you. Guests/Friends is purely semantics.

That's why I keep telling my wife we should charge our "guests" every time we invite them to our house for dinner. :D
Nice fish and nice picture Rod.

Rod; do you prefer spinning reel over baitcaster? any reasons why.

I'm afraid to admit that I live on the Island after this comment :-[

I wasn't aware that I should charge the guests in my house! I am missing out! ;D

My FRIENDS ;D and I returned to the same spot tonight and one of them got into the biggest one of the season almost right away, on a 1/4oz copper fire striped Croc spoon.
