Chilliwack River, November 24th 2014

A few of us went out for a few hours this afternoon, looking for some late fresh chum salmon. A few were hooked, on both roe and jig.

Nice looking chum, esp. for this time of year.  I hit another flow yesterday and I managed to hook and land two very clean chum hens - similar in brightness to your buck there Rod.  I did not retain them, but heard they make excellent fish cakes... :)

That one was retained by a friend. I don't think I will be retaining more salmon for this season after going through three weeks of coho salmon slaughter in late October... :o

I heard on good authority (the interwebz) he had to move to make room for the industrial sized, walk in freezer to store all his Coho!
