Water again nice today and I slipped out for a couple of hours this afternoon. Second run I fished I saw a small one 5 to 6 pounds clear the surface, in real close. Shortened up a bit, first cast, Maple Leaf Drennan down, strike but nothing, next cast down again strike and roe bag comes bag torn up but 2 chances was all I was given.

Another fellow broke his rod while trying to lift a fish up the bank, was a hatchery he said. I was just getting the camera rolling so missed the action and a bit of a blooper.

  • Where's my strike indicator?

Condition was excellent at dusk, but tomorrow's forecasted heavy rain may change things pretty quickly.

Heavy rain last while, a report given to me the upper was starting to color. Looks like a few days rest from fishing now.

River level remained unchanged all morning despite of the rain. Water clarity was good and steadily coloured as the day went on, still very fishable at this moment but may not be good after tonight if this rain continues.

Just drove by the boundary and it was already brown way up there. Might not have hit the lower yet.

I was surprised it even held on for so long Friday. Fished all day and slowly coloured all day. Last hour of light it really started to turn.

On the bright side, there's only really one direction for the chart to go.
