« on: January 06, 2015, 03:48:22 PM »

Hey everyone, Just for a change of pace from the cheakamus and squamish i figured i would venture up the mamquam river forest service road and try some of the holes along there. I havent ever been up there but i have heard theres some resident bulls cutties dollies ect. Does anyone have any info on this area, that would be great!

Not much up that far but there should be a rainbow or bull trout here and there. They dont go that far because they mainly eat salmon eggs which are in the mid river.

There is a 60ish foot falls that serves as an upstream migration barrier to anadromous fish. There may be a few fish above it but they would be residents.

Rainbows and very small Dolly Varden is what I've caught up there.  Not a lot of action really but some nice scenery.

Then still worth a visit in my opinion. :)
