Fishing continues to be HOT! With the warmer weather, spoons are accounting for a tonne of hook ups each and every trip!

Any time the rivers come up a bit after rains, the pink worms have also been getting them all riled up. We will generally run something small through first, and then do a quick change to the holey worm to fish em through "last and fast".

Caught my first steelie yesterday afternoon. I knew he was a big boy when he stayed down deep for most of the fight.

That's right, one of my favourite Lower Mainland river systems. Estimated weight was around 15 lbs.

Hi
Some friends and I drove ten hours from Mackenzie to camp and fish the Kitimat over the weekend. We fished hard for four days straight with not a single tap. My switch rod snapped on day two. That combined with the lack of action had me feeling pretty rotten. I didn't drive all that way to throw spoons so I hurried up to Terrace and got myself a new spey rod (woo!). On the final run of the trip, this guy hit like a brick wall. Safely caught and released. Made it all worth it.
