A lot of fish just shot right up. Head to the old limit hole and go for a look. There's over 100 fish sitting in there. Gin clear so you could see each individual fish.

3 so far, 2 lost and very nice for the table too, go well with Joiner corn. With the Fraser openings much in doubt for some time, I need to get some nice chinook for eating fresh and to can.

Working on The Journal before Rod fires me.lol

Also all the swimmers make it good for plucks but some leave too much garbage behind as well, beaks. ::)
Glad to hear that some fish are being caught. It motivates me to continue hunting for these illusive buggers. ;) Was out on peach today this morning and saw a couple springs rolling but was unable to trick any of them to bite. Oh well, it was nice to atleast see a few fish moving through. Who knows, maybe luck will be on my side later this week.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to go up there and check it out. Maybe the upper river fish will be more responsive to my roe. :)

I would stay lower down, those stacked up fish in the upper are heavily coloured and do not make good table fare. Better chance in the lower of getting a clean fish for the table. :P

Currently the Vedder/Chilliwack River regulations have remained the same and there are no closures to my knowledge. Who knows, the Vedder may close soon so keep an eye out.

Can someone explain the sharp drop in water levels today?

I was out on the 22nd.  Mid River on the run all to myself.  Fish showing themselves every couple seconds.  Springs rolling and scaring the crap out of sockeye of which I saw about 15 schooled up together.  My hands were shaking as I was gearing up.  After dozens of drifts with chum roe and no takers, finally decided to put my rod down and tie up some fluorocarbon leaders.  That was the ticket!  Six brought to hand ... one bonked.  Two on jigs.  The low clear conditions made it easy to spot and target fish.  Tight lines all.

Checked out the lower C-V this morning and was surprised to see that the water was a bit higher and had a slight colour to it. I saw a few fish rolling as well. Fished for a while with some jigs and prawns. After about 25 mins the float dipped, but I was too late on the hookset. :-\ I didn't have any more action after that. Anyways, tight lines!

Went out on the Vedder early this morning.  There are plenty of trout to keep you busy but no action from the Springs for me or anyone I spoke to.
