If you have to drive to Coquitlam to fish the Coquitlam River hoping for some meat for dinner, best to save the gas $. This river has been considered the most polluted river in the province and it holds very little fish for meat purpose. Most of the guys I know who live near the river within 5-10 minutes drive never even bother to fish there. They head off to other systems more known to give a good meat fishery. That tells you what state of the fishery at the Coquitlam most years.

Back from the river , feel like barfing . Fishing would be excellent if ur a bear because there are tons of dead fish and carcasses at the river would have love to report fish maybe try for coho but chances are that the fish are spawned out.

These dead fish unfortunately are not the species you can target - chum, which you can't retain even if they were edible. The coho and spring are far less in number especially this late in the season to be worth the effort, particularly if you have to drive there.

True best chance to catch fish in coquitlam is to head to the lafarge
