Pacu on Vancouver Island?
« on: July 15, 2004, 09:36:57 AM »

Heard from one of my fishing buddies that Pacus  have been found in some Vancouver Island Lakes. Sounds fishy to me, cause aren't Pacu supposed to be Warmwater fish? Can anyone please confirm this or add some information? Thanks

I think that Pacus are a warm water fish from the Amazon. People keep them as aquarium fish but also release them into the wild >:( They look and are closely related to piranhas. Can't find much more imformation on the internet but this.
