Sitting at the computer, cat sleeping on lap, everything shakes and then a big jolt, cat jumps off my lap, she sits under my chair and I'm still sitting there like "Hmm... what should I do?"
I am always surprised how some people never feel a thing.  :o

A lot has to do with house construction and substrate, first quake my parents place has shook (two seconds and exceedingly weak shaking, only thing that moved from the shake in my room was my bed) and they've  been here for 25 years.

It was a 4.9 magnitude quake 19km nne of Victoria,  52km or so in depth.

Just a little shaker that barely woke me up. Was listening to CKNW on my way to work this morning and people are acting like the world was ending. People contemplating jumping from the balcony and diving under tables. The same preparedness conversations as usual.

Felt it Coquitlam. I was in bed in the middle of a strange dream...I remembered being shaken by someone in the dream and then I woke up to my bed shaking.  :o Weird....

It must be that huge numbers of steelhead out in the saltchuck that all turned at the bottom of the island moving towards the vedder.
Hurry up and get here.

I guessed the number of steelhead weighed in on the steelhead derby and now this:

Last night before going to bed I told my wife she should take her camera off the tripod she had perched up on top of 3 stools for taking pictures of the birds at the bird feeder. Why would I say that you may ask? I had told her,"we might have an earthquake."

I wish now, I could forecast I would win the lottery but I guess I need to buy a ticket first.

Hey Chris, you've got the steelhead number in the Derby right, and now this. Perhaps the force is with you now or that you have a 'Cocoon' like experience like those seniors did in the movie.  ;D
