Don't even attempt to compare Chilliwack to Surrey. Do some research on 'major' crime stats, and you'll see they are not even close. Chilliwack is a pretty decent place to live....there are bad areas of course....just like every other city out there.

dunno about crime , but one thing I noticed is dogs without leash ... that is mean ... thank to Chris I reported an accident I had with my buds at c/v , when we were chased by couple of pretty big dogs w/o leash ... and it wasn`t private property or something like that , it was campground

Not even close. We don't have gang related shootings on a almost daily basis like you have out in Surrey. I grew up in Surrey when it was a much better place. Couldn't wait to leave as the crime became worse and worse. Most of the crime you hear about is on the Chilliwack side of town. Down town area. On the Sardis side where I have lived the last 15 yrs, my family has never had a a single incident of crime. The only bad behaviour I witness is on the Chilliwack River. And the majority of those bad apples come from outside of the city.

Both Surrey and Chilliwack have their dicey areas (like all areas) but if you have lived in both Surrey and Chilliwack like I have, you would know that the dicey areas of Surrey are far worse than those of Chilliwack.
