The yellow colours on that Warbler's chest are really cool!

Here's a really cool warbler from 4 years ago, same place, and about the same time....

Absolutely love the avocet!

And the Kestrel on the razorwire gives you a really good idea of how small they really are.

Some great shots!

Holy crap, andrewscag! Those are some mighty fine pictures - I felt like the little rufous was going to fly right out of my computer screen!

Thanks Tex!  He was fun to photograph.  Seemed to get used to me clicking away as I sat at a picnic table with my folks.

Really need to get a speedlight at least one of these days.  Such reflective little guys.

Rufous

One suggestion - I would clone out the feeder to make this just that much more compelling.

In my opinion, this bird ranks right up there with "Lilac Breasted Roller" for incredibly sexy bird!  Did you know it is the National Bird of Uganda???  These pictures were taken in the Ngorongoro Caldera, Tanzania - May 30th.

You're probably right about cloning.  I thought about it and left the feeder in.

Man that is an amazing bird! It almost doesn't even look real.  Nice captures!
