Tide chart time addition for Ambleside?
« on: May 08, 2016, 11:42:57 AM »

I remember having to add an amount of time to the Point Atkins chart to get the tide time for Ambleside, but I don't remember how much. Can anybody help me out?

Thanks...

I would suggest that it's so negligible it's not even worth worrying about. There's less than 10 minute difference between Atkinson and White Rock...

Thanks...

Tides4fishing is what I've been looking at. Maybe I'm wrong about a time difference. Details don't stick as long as they used to...

Fisheries and Oceans Canada shows 20 minutes difference between Point Atkinson and Vancouver.

The tidal station for Vancouver would be in the harbour. The first narrows would restrict the tidal push so the inner harbour would experience tides quite some time after P. Atkinson. Ambleside's tide would be just minutes after P.Atkinson. If you're wanting to fish the tides at Ambleside, the P.Atkinson measurements would be very reliable. The difference in minutes would have negligible impact. You wouldn't miss the bite because you showed up 3 minutes late
