Spooling a mooching reel

Hey there, I just picked up a trophy tyee qr mooching reel. What do you guys recommend for backing/mainline.

25 or 30LB P-Line CXX or Maxima Ultragreen; with a 20lb Dacron Fly Backing.

If you get a tackle shop to spool it on a machine, make sure they turn off the clicker. One of the guys at army and navy busted my clicker last year, they gave me a new reel tho :).

If you are going to put backing on it - and the reason to do that is to reduce the amount of mono on the reel - I'd suggest 30lb braided Dacron. Use an Albright knot to attached the dacron to the mono. As for the mainline - your choice of 20 to 30lb  -
