Saw a drone flying around the lower river for a good 10-15 minutes about a week ago. I wonder if it was you, but I didnt see myself or the exact spot in the video.

Good choice of music to compliment the footage. Much better than some of selections that people pick for their fishing vids.

Thanks!  I filmed this over 4 days in between the rain from Oct 18 - 21.  I definitely got a few skyward looks as the aerial buzzbomb was up doing its thing!   ;D

@Taboo;  Would you mind posting up the equipment you used?  It appears the camera view can be rotated as you circle the drone.  Is that correct and how did you frame the shots?  Did you have a real time feed of the video image?

Filmed using a DJI Phantom 3 Professional.  The camera is static in terms of it facing forward but it can be rotated 90 degrees up and down.  To achieve the circle or turning effect (left to right or right to left pans), I am actually maneuvering the controls to turn the drone in the direction I want.  You do indeed have a real time feed so that really helps!  The raw footage is obviously significantly longer and much of it is garbage footage of me setting up a particular fly over or what have you.

This is indeed very cool.  On an unrelated note I got a notification that my Lily camera (www.lily.camera) will ship in December or January. About time!

Awesome video to capture the natural beauty surrounding the Chilliwack/Vedder and the way of life we Canadian salmon fishers are having during fall salmon run. I will forward the link to my foreign friends so they will have a taste of what it is like to fish for salmon here. Thanks for sharing. Hope there are more to come.

Loved this. The shots you got were fantastic and the cuts were very well done.

Only suggestion I'd have is to shorten up the video somewhat... there were some repetitive bits in there that - if removed - might make the whole thing feel "tighter".

That said, I still did love it. Thanks for sharing! :)

Duly noted...I thought the same thing as well but will aim to be "tighter" next time!

Very cool! Were you the guy I ran into with your gear at peach road a few weeks ago. I could hear the drone but could not see it.
What kind of range do you have  for controlling it?
