What is this minnow?

I was reasonably set on redside shiner but an old colleague thinks it might be a pikeminnow. Found in a tributary to the lower Fraser.

I have seen them spawning in the South Allouette river and it was a horror show.
1000,s of them in a frenzy turning the water a milky colour.
I wanted to go home and get my gas can and light the river on fire. :o
OK not really but it was UGLY.

are redside shiner's native to FV streams? I know bait fishers introduced them to many interior lakes and had it negative impact on trout fisheries.
