My return to flyfishing
« on: August 13, 2017, 12:41:24 PM »

Hey all, I'm looking to get back into some flyfishing (not that I was any good previously) and I was looking for help from some fellow lower mainlanders'! I have an old trout fly rod I've used once or twice back in 2012 and I'm sure it'll do just fine when it comes to lakes, however I'm really hoping to dip my feet in this years pink run so a new setup would be required for that so if anyone has anyone good places to look for a cheaper rig it would be much appreciated. My casting game has probably gone back to ground zero so any tips you guys could give on practicing proper form would help. Lastly, I'm from Maple Ridge and I wanted to know from some experienced fly fishers... where are some good lakes around the area to practice some flyfishing?
Oh and a side note, I don't own waders but I was going to grab some once I got my groove back. Thanks in advance for the replies guys! Cheers!  ;D

Go check out the "new to fly fishing thread".
It'll be above or below yours.
No sense duplicating everything.
Good luck!
