As Rod said, river conditions are excellent. Nice medium flow compared to the high water earlier this season. I found myself alone once again and a couple of hungry steelhead smashed my worm. One lost and one landed. Both very nice Chrome fish.

Conditions turned around surprisingly fast today, went out for a bit tonight and was rewarded again. I connected with a good sized doe after this buck was caught at the same spot.

River level came up just under a foot overnight.

How's the conditions today? Lots of anglers out? Any fish getting caught?

Rain is coming down. Rive level is almost reaching 2m at the Crossing now. The creek that flows into the river by our place is dirty and high so my guess is that conditions are not favourable at the moment.

It was not worth the drive from North Van.

20 inches of visibility down near the rail bridge yesterday afternoon, should be great over the next couple of days.

River is up again overnight with limited visibility once again today. Looks like very few anglers braving the poor conditions and the nasty cold wind here.

May 1st, the river is now closed upstream from the Vedder Crossing, and open to fly fishing only downstream from the Vedder Crossing.

Here are a couple more photos from last month. Hope everyone had a good season.
