I've been away but wow, another crappy start... frustrating to keep seeing poorer and poorer fishing situations from salmon all the way down. I will start my season on Friday but Dam already feel unmotivated... we should have seen a good push by now?

Your'e right, it's pretty dismal so far.  Buck and I are looking forward to our upper river counts this spring.

Talked to the old fella who camps at the slab every winter in the big motor home today. He only hooked three fish so far this winter and none to shore. He has not been able to tube one fish for the hatchery yet. It's been very dismal this year so far. Hoping it picks up or I'm gonna have to take up a new hobby. :'(

Back out for 30 minutes with no success late this afternoon, continue to fish the run I had the fish on briefly last week. In the old days I would have had a few in these runs that are very fishy looking. The water conditions where better than this morning i thought which is surprising because it is so mild and the rising waters because of the snow melt.

Was fishing the bottom and the water was a bit murkier than Sunday. I think the warm temperature has something to do with it.

Fished mid river for a few hours in the afternoon. Stayed green, but got a bit silty like pea soup. Maybe a foot of visibility.

Got out for the afternoon. Water vis held really well. Way too many people posting. Managed a wild 8lb doe near the end of the day.
Did not see any others. Rain will probably wreak havoc.

That’s because slab has completely filled in comepared to years past. Can’t catch fish if they aren’t stopping there because there’s no decent water

Just passed over the canal on the highway and can attest to that.  Better to spend the day on ducks while you can.

Graph is looking like it may be fishable today before it blows out for the weekend... just cleaning up some loose ends at work and then thinking of making the trip out to the Whack.... anyone that’s out this a.m. and could report in the next hour or two would be greatly appreciated!
