New video: Tofino's multi-species fisheries
« on: January 28, 2018, 06:46:50 PM »

New video, 24 minutes long. This was filmed back in September, targeting coho salmon around kelp beds, and catching ten other different species at the same time. Enjoy!

This brings back memories of bottom fishing up at Pender Harbour in the early 70's.
Thank you Rod.

Great video. Totally reminds me of when I worked for Steveston Seabreeze doing their bottom fishing charters. Never know what you're going to get!

Yep, not knowing what will be at the end of the line next makes this fishery more exciting than most of our other fisheries in this province. :)

Definitely brings back memories of my saltchuck years when drift fishing along the Copper Bluffs and Cape Mudge of Campbell River. Texada Island and Desolation Sound...along with The Sunshine Coast from Half Moon, Secret Cove, Powell and Lund.
