I fished peg leg again started out at 6am the first fish on shore was about 7:15am just above me around 7:30am i got my first and only sock of the day.The guy right beside me pulled in 15 pound red spring chrome then i left about 9:15am,there were so many people had to get out of the gong show.There was not many to speak of during my time there but it only can get better.It is time to invest in a boat.

Fished pegs today and the action seemed to be better on the walk-in side rather than the boat in side. I boated over to the otherside and got my two in 4 hours of fishing. My partner who I was fishing with got nothing. Fishing seemed pretty slow. I had a good laugh yet again at all the goofs standing out up to their chests in their waders as the fish swam behind them, some people never learn

I was up at above the Harrison and even though there was LOTS of pressure didn't see many fish caught!  We hooked two fish.  One monster spring and one small Sockeye.  The spring we fought for over an hour before my dad let it spool him.  So much for watching how much line was out but I bet it won't happen again to him.  Just by the way it fought I would guess it was better than forty pounds.  Bummer    If anyone ties in to a big spring with a hundred and fifty yards of line on it than it MINE...

If you hook what you beleive is a monstrous spring and you never get alook and it spools you ,good chance you just met mr. sturgeon.

Fished the upper Fraser ( past Herling , which by the way,(herling ) has to be the disapointment of the year as far as bars go ). Anyway started fishing at about 7:45 and by 8:15 I have my 2 on the beach.
My father in law shows up and I tel him what a hot spot it is and we start fishing for his 2.  One hour
then 2 then 4 ,then 6 hours go by and fish are being caught all around us but nothing for us .   I lost count on how many " Spring ons "  went past us.3 at time at one point
Finally about 5:00 the father inlaw lands a 7 lb
Sock ,great fight ,wow he's happy,finally !!
3 socks . Might as well try for that 4th.
About 5 casts later here is this 75 year old man
squeaking out the words SPRING ON  and away we go . I took over about 5 minutes in , as his arms were about to fall off. Took it about another 40 yards down river and then handed it back to him.
Five minutes later a 33 lber , and a crome beauty at that is beached . To top it all off its a red
I decide to make a quick couple of casts and hooked a
8 lb sock, another great fight  and landed by the F.I.L
WOW !! a perfect ending to a rather slow day .
Even had the camera and will post the picture one day
soon.

Sounds like I had similar results as others in this thread.  I got to the river after a liesurely breakfast with high hopes for a quick couple of fish and head home.  5 hours later and still nothing.  My tackle vest lighter because of all the lost tackle.  Fortunately I did eventually hook into a sockeye which did not get away.  I did hook into a Spring but lost it as I have done so for about 6 this year.  Wish I knew what I was doing wrong.

The "big" spring my dad fought got in some really heavy, turning, boiling water and before my dad knew it all his line was out.  We had followed it down stream about a mile or so and I was trying to keep it out of that ugly boiling water but that's where it wanted to go.  I had thought we almost had it over in the soft water when the line went snap.  It took all the braided line and broke where I tied the mono backing to the braided line.  My dads not use to river fishing and wasn't watching how much line was out.  After running the boat all the way down stream I thought he had him fairly close.  I'm 99% sure it was a spring.  Fought like all the other big ones I've gotten in the past.  Would have much preferred having the hook come out than loosing all the line.  Just hope the fish didn't have any problem braking my 15lb leader after we lost him.
