Agree, anybody but the Bruins.  I am hoping this game goes long enough the Bruins have to sit and maybe get cold.
Anybody but the Bruins.
;D
Yes agree with both you very wise guys!
But can either Sharks or Blues get thru that Bruin defensive wall ?
In the Bruin zone they are on the puck carrier.
It's like whoever plays against Boston they are trying to make plays in a broom closet.
But it would be so....nice if the Sharks or Blues lift the Cup for the first time.
Regardless may the best team win.
Just hope it's not another "sweep". At least 6-7 games & each one exciting end to end action !!!

Sharks/Blues tied 2-2 in series.
2-1 W for Blues.
Both goalies played very good.
Sharks directed lots of shots towards the net.
So many shots they shot went wide of the net.
Easy save for goalie when shoots go wide  ;D
Next game in California...long plane flights.
Both teams quite well matched.
Both teams are trying their best ...see/saw battle out there.
Blues are quite good / big guys...Sharks have older players it seems & skilled guys with a lot of heart...
Both teams would put up a fight against Boston I think.
Very character players on Sharks so it would be interesting match up against Bruins.
Burns knocking guys down etc..
If they advance hopefully they will have enough in the tank to do battle.
Blues or Sharks should get at least 2-3 days off ya would think before game 1 of the finals.
What will be will be.

Watching replay & it 's 4-0 Blues ( cheated a few minutes ago & checked the final damage 5-0 )
Never saw that coming.
I like both Blues & Sharks so happy for a Blues but the Shark players must be feeling bad.
Sharks had lots of energy at the beginning of the game & were beating the Blues to the puck & directing shots....but Shark zone Karlson on a bad play ...Blues score.
Down hill from there.
Worst game for Sharks.
Do the Sharks just fade away now & get kicked out of the series in game 6 or will they regroup & get some shots that go in the net...& come home for game 7 ?
Time to bench Karlson as his groin is affecting his play
Sharks have heart but their Capt. has been hit hard & looks like he's hurting..
Couture looks like his tank is getting low.
Kane looks ineffective.
Stanley Cup is the hardest Cup to win & along the journey teams go head to head & it's wear & tear ..
Blues would be a better match up against Boston.
Bigger guys & still have gas in tank. Team not as beat up as Sharks.

End of the 2nd period in game 6 & it's 3-1 score for the Blues. How is it Sharks have only 1 goal as they have had scrambles infront of the Blue's net. They should have at least 2 goals via their chances.
They are not going away quietly.
Sharks need to pot in a goal within the first 10 minutes in the 3rd thus have time to try to tie up the game & go into OT.
Will the Chris curse manifest ???  ;D
Sharks strike for 4 goals in the 3rd should it manifest  ;D
Remember the Knights up in the 3rd.
Honestly hope the Sharks go down to defeat as the Blues will be a harder team for the Bruins to defeat.
These Blues really hand out bulldozer type body checks.
They have sandwiched Shark players along the boards so many times. One by one Shark players are heading to the locker room to get repairs. Blues idea to to take out 4-5 players to injures & the rest 16 players with aches pains & bruises. They play like their tough guy coach.
3rd period here we go.........sharks have super players with heart so it will be defeat for a team that went far into the play-offs. Think it's the last kick at the can for some of these players long at the tooth.
Well 15 teams will be / have been kicked out so join the club Sharks... Next goal if there is one will be so important.  Get within one goal 3-2 or behind 4-1 ouch
Penalty to Blues.....18:20 .....

Well well..Blues get the next goal. Not Sharks ...game set & match...
2:40 left in game as I type this...oh another goal.. Empty net. Salt in wounds. 5-1.
In third Sharks had a power play & they had chances...
Then later near break away for Couter & his targeted shot stopped.
Plus they have hit cross bars ...posts...
They have just no puck luck.
Blues never gave out any hard hits in the 3rd period.
They know they have to shake Shark hands.
Another team bites the dust.
Rask will not allow so many rebounds after saves...
So many of the Blues goals / chances came on rebounds.
Sharks lose 3 in a row.
So imagine game one will start on Friday/Sat ? ( in Boston ?)
Think we are all in agreement. Chris FA TNA ( Nova Bonker ? ) & myself will be cheering on the Blues.
What FA & Chris cheering for the same team. Imagine that.  :o
Now that is where soap opera tv series & fiction books have made millions of dollars...
Hear yee hear yee Chris & FA cheering for same team WOW  ;D
Just heard Cup Finals start Monday. That is a 5 day rest for the Blues. Just what the doctor ordered.
Wow Boston has been inactive for a long time.
Will they be rusty & lack of timing. Hockey players play so many games in a season ...being out too long will "play on their head"...think too much...

The finals have started & end of the 2nd period.
2-2
Blues are physical & so are the Bruins.
Bruins are out shooting the Blues 2-1 thanks to 5 penalties to the Blues.
10 minutes in the sin bin ...out of the 40 minutes played,so far.
Refs called some soft ones that's for sure.
1st period Blues were in the Boston end a lot on even play.
2nd period Bruins with help of the refs ..kinda took over.
Blues gotta start skating & filling the Boston net in the 3rd & stay out of the SIN BIN.
Boston in the 1st looked sheepish.
Boston in the 2nd looked like peak hawks with their wings/feathers spread out for all to see.
Swagger back.
Go Blues Go Go Blues Go.. :)
FA Chris TNA Nova? Etc...must be watching this game...
Sunny evening so maybe not...watch replay later maybe.......

I'm reading a novel with a cup of tea. ;)
Well guess I should of done the same.  :)
The game had it's moments but over all thought the game was "boring".
No flow to it. So many penalty kills for Blues.
Soft calls & then obvious calls ,became no calls.
Bruin flies up the ice & charges a Blues player...never mind 4-5-6 strides & a hit it was 15/20 full strides & wham !!! No call.
Homer refs !!!
This was kinda like a get the butter flies out of your system / feeler game so hopefully there will be more flow to the next game.
Blues better wake up in game 2 or this series will be over quick.
Rask barely worked up a sweat.
Blues looked more rusty than the Bruins...& Bruins had 10 days off.
Well it's hard to beat a team & the refs to boot. Refs were totally one sided ........Booooooooooooooooo

Watched it.  Agree it was boring and agree the refs missed some pretty obvious calls.  Like the Bruins penalty kill where Charra skates over and slashes a guys stick so hard it breaks in half.... no call.

Still a seven game series.  Hope some others are more exciting than that one.

TNA good to see all our regulars post on FA's trend (even if he was reading a novel & cup of tea during game 1  >:(  ;) )
TNA you made a past recent post about the long layoff for the Bruins would possibly affect their play.
Well they did look rusty in the 1st but after that...it was the Blues that kinda looked like the tin man before he got the oil can treatment in the Wizard of Oz. ( the novel FA was reading I guess)
The cross checking was on display that's for sure by both teams.
Maybe we need an old fashion brawl with both benches clearing & coming on the ice....to put Boston in their place.
( forgive me Lord )
Bruins hate losing. They will try to win this series in 4.
Blues should play better but avoid the penalties.
Mind you the white gloves refs in yesterday's game if a Blues player farted he got a penalty.
Bull crap.
But amazing how a series can go. When it looks like one team is so terrible or dominated ..at the end they win 4 games. Whatever happens in game 2 watch out in St Louis ...the real Blues will come out & dominate & drive the Bruins into the ice  :o :o :o
Putting bias aside Chara at age 42 is a force out there. He holds his own. Puts in the minutes too. Amazing guy.
Thought the Bruins only won the Cup 2-3x in their history but it's more like 7x.
Wins way back far in history I guess when it was just 6 teams. Well 1 in 6 chance to be champions.
Not that hard a feat. Today it's really a big deal to win it with so many teams.
More NHL teams than the line up to Everest Mt top.
