Sharks play SUPER ! 6-3 over Blues in 1st game of their series.
Too busy yesterday to watch it ( highlights showed it was a fast skating game )
Predict Sharks will take series in 6 games. Hope so..
Think Boston will win series over Hurricanes in 6.
Sharks vs Bruins would be one great match up in the finals should it happen.

Boston goes 2-0 in their series with Hurricanes.
The cream is coming to the top. Boston dominated.
Score 6-2.
Hurricanes remind me of some European team. Pass & skate looking for the perfect play. Tic tac toe.
Only thing there's a monkey wrench named the Boston Bruins. They are non stop check & go up the ice & shoot.
Hurricanes need to get back to the home rink & see if they can regroup & get two W's to tie up the series.
Give Hurricanes credit they tried hitting the Bruins so they are not scared of them anyways.
Sharks & Blues players must of watched these games so whatever team gets to the finals will know how good the other team is. Marchard again doing his thing.  what a pest crap stirrer.
A great guy to have on your team but not good to play against.
Marchard sticks Williams & grabs him ( no call ) Williams gets mad & pulls at Marchands helmet strap & gets a penalty. Then Marchand points his finger towards the penalty box & tells Williams...you go over there for 2 minutes. Psychological warfare
No wonder the Bruins are winning???they use the Ric Flair Woooooo call on the mic.

Despite looking horrible the first game, the Blues came out hot.  They cooled down a little, allowing a shortie and a break away but then turned it back on and didn't look back.  Good back and forth series.

Wondering if the Canes throw in the towel as it being good enough or if being in front of their home crowd may help them turn things around.

Sharks played terrible last night. Their heads were down as they left the ice.
Blues were all over them. Sharks no energy hardly any hits etc...
Like they had a back pack with 30 lbs strapped on.
They looked as bad as the Hurricanes in game 2.
It's a long road to get to the finals ...3 rounds. Finals 4 fourth round...& 4 wins x 4 rounds...
16 wins needed & those wins are not easy to come by.
Think teams will get tired/stressed out/ sore body parts...& some games a team just are not ready..too many high pressure games in a row.
But Boston is an exception. They have played hard every game so far. They have not had a bad game yet. They are determined & focused.
Think Bruins will be champions in 2019.
But in hockey ya just never know.
Who would think Vegas ahead 3 games to 1 & but it came to game 7 & they were ahead 4-1 in the 3rd & they still lose in OT!!!
But Sharks did not give up.
Hurricanes as you say may get that extra psychological build up from their home crowd & that pride in their team & come out with all guns blazing for 60 minutes.
Ya just know Bruins will try to make it 3-0 in the series 
So far Bruins have had much better goaltending so that helps .....
Is there no stopping the Bruins ?
Hope Blues take the Sharks as San Jose has lots of older players & think they are running out of gas.
Blues vs Bruins in the finals would be a better series. Think Bruins would have an easy time with Sharks.
All this comments are just subjective as ya just never know in sports.
My guess it will be Blues vs Bruins & Bruins will be champs.
But let's see if the Hurricanes can dig deep & surprise us or as ya put it....."Throw in the towel"
Actually it's the Blues & Sharks that have never won the Cup so it would be nice if one of them got it.
But may the best team win.
A winning team has no weak links & losing teams have a few weak links. Like a hole on the side or bottom of a ship. Titanic.

Bozak a free agent smelled 5 mil per season so he flew the coop.
Too many marbles paid to other 3-4 Leafs so not enough marbles for him the Leafs offered.

Less than 7 minutes to go in game 3 & it's 2-1 for Bruins. Better game for Hurricanes but they are not shooting laser top corner or bottom corner shots & no rebounds ....
Hurricanes look like their players have banana fingers. Hey the mic guy pushed the button to give the Ric Flair yell...Hoooooooo ( hear it in Boston's rink too ) well the Hoooooo did not help.
With all their man advantages & situation down 2 games & at home they should have 3-4-5 goals.
Ok Hurricanes got 20 shots in 1st period but they did not bury any of them. Booooooooooo...

Players are playing frustrated ..they are playing out of their comfort zone...

Notice Marchand is more quiet tonight..though he drew a penalty ( trip ) & score winning goal !
Quiet as in not yapping or stirring the cow dung with his mouth.

Honestly our 1980s Canucks team would of put more of a fight than these Hurricanes.
These stress of playoff hockey will definately sort out the men from the boys so to say.

What does a coach tell his players...when your team is down 3-0 to the Bruins.
If I were the Hurricane players think they should SHOUT OUT how great the Bruin players are.
Let the Bruin players digest how great they are....in newspapers tv sports reports...human nature they will get FAT HEADS & suddenly with that attitude all of a sudden they will fall apart & will start losing.
Ok Sharks or Blues start telling everyone how great the Bruins are.
More praise & hot air will bloat the Bruins heads  .  Rusk your the best goalie of all time & the D is compared to 4 Bobby Orrs & the forwards are like the Great One Mr Hockey The Flower ( What was Mario L. nickname? Magnificent Mario ? )
"Pride comes before a fall"  (use psychological warfare on the Bruins.)
Moral of the story " stay humble work hard" & win the Cup.

Sharks bite Blues in the "behind" in OT.
Glove pass & puck gets banged in.
Blues have a super 2nd period & get game to 4-3 !!!
Sharks get the game tied late in the 3rd.
Rest is history.
Talk about an up & down game...
Sharks lead series 2-1.  Never saw that one coming...
Thought the Blues would win this game hands down.

Well if that's the case Hurricanes would be willing to pay Chris big $$$ to cheer for the Bruins. 
Hurricanes will try anything at this pt. & time.  maybe there will be a kitchen sink near their bench next game. Desperate plus.

If Boston wins in 4 they may just get a long long break as possibly Sharks/Blues may go 6-7 games.
The break may or may not hurt them.
Now who knows if the Blues come back hard next game & how will Sharks play?
Blues should walk all over them.
Boston has not played a bad game all playoffs so think they will try to win in 4 but never know they just may play softer & try hard & win in Boston. NHL games has surprises. Just never can tell...

A call like that can either destroy a team or drive them to really be upset and to play harder.  It is tough to tell but it might have hit the Blues player in the leg.  Gotta say I was not happy with the post game interviews.  Yes, the Blues can be mad and upset but missed calls happen.  The quote about how there are different rules for one team versus another, that is just poor form and have a good way of getting the refs to see you as little whiners and make you get less calls than you might have.  It sucks that the missed call caused the loss but at the same time, you had the lead with a minute left.  You let them tie the game.  You had a wide open net in overtime and missed.  Don't get to the point where the missed call can cost you the game.  Don't go spouting off about different rules for different teams.  Completely turned me off from the Blues.

Interesting if will be the tipping stone to where Blues collapse or rally. Or just forget about it.
From what I saw it was a hand pass.
Honestly in any game an if y goal in reg. or post season the video should be checked.
A missed goal by the mistake of a ref could cost a team from making the play offs or bonus $$$ for a player     49 goals but one goal missed ...would of been 50 goals & player missed out on 250 thou. $ bonus ....
Why not get it right.
But Blues just should go with the flow as the rules are what they are as in now or present were followed.
Tough pill to swallow for Blues.

Game set & match. Bruins win the series over Hurricanes 4-0.
Hey it just shows how good Toronto Maple Leafs are as they took this team to game 7.
Whoever plays the rested Bruins in the finals ( Sharks/Blues ) will have a challenge on their hands.
But who knows the style of play they bring to the ice & better snipers ...ya just never know.
