Fraser August 4th

Location: peg leg
Species targetted: Sockeye
Started fishing: 4:23
First fish on: 4:28
Species: spring
Time on: 10 + minutes
Result: Broke it off before it stripped my line clean. Looked to be about 30-40 pounds when it jumped
Next action: First cast after hooking spring
Species: Sockeye
Time on: 10 seconds
Result: Got in the current and got off
Next action: 5:10
Species: Sturgeon
Time on: About half hour
Result: Landed and released, probably about 3-4 feet long
Next action: none
Result: Headed home at 7:30
Other info: Fishing is pretty slow

Forgot to mention I was fishing the PM. Yeah I thought I recognized you leadbelly from the pictures i've seen of you. Thanks for taking out the hook, I was going to cut it in order to get the fish out in the water again ASAP.

Went to Peg Leg and Scale today!  Had a few on but nothing to brag about!  Think this weekend will be good???

Started fishing at  1:00 and caught and landed a 12lb.spring on 5th cast :o .Nice to get the spring out of the way first . Caught and landed 2 sockeye
in the next hour and a half . Lots of fish being caught all around . No commercial gap out there today. 8)

launched at Pegleg 17:00 with my son, both  had our limit by 18:00 a great day lots of fish;D

Started 3:30PM at a bar above Agassiz.  Landed a spring & 2 sockeyes & left at 5:30PM.  Like earlier post, fishing was pretty steady for the time I was there. It has been 3 days since sunday commercial opening and fishing picks up.

Noticed commercial boats all over the Fraser on my way back to Maple ridge .

Fished Peg Leg and within 5 casts fish on....10 lbs slab of Sockeye on the beach. 1/2 hour later another one. Best sockeye year for me by far.....limit out every trip. ;D

4 trips=8 fish
