Illegal Fishing Letters and RCMP Meeting
« on: August 05, 2004, 08:52:32 PM »

I have only received 2 copies of letters that members have written to Regan regarding the illegal nets and fishing on the Fraser River.

There seemed to be lots of concerns on the forum and we needly copies that you have written or are plan on writing as soon as possible.

Bill and the SDA needs them as we develop "Operation  Barbeque".

We meet with the RCMP tomorrow and who knows who will be attending but all players are supposed to be there, I plan to attend.

Come on guys write your letters to the Minister Of Fisheries and send a copy to us through letter@fishingwithrod.com your future of fishing is at stake and a few of us are trying our best to preserve this for you, help us out by taking a few minutes tonight or tomorrow to write your letters, we need them.

Thanks and special thanks to Ross and Keith who have done so already. ;D

I'm working on it. I'm working on it.

I'm going to mail my copy in and post one on here.  Don't want to sound rude, but what are you looking for submissions for? a big package of letters to send or a fist full of paper to wave in people's faces?

It helps when we talk to FOC and the media that there is lots of others beside ourselves that are concerned about what is going on.

I have been involved in tactics like this several times and believe me they do work and help the cause. If we all sit back and just talk and do nothing things will stay the same. That is what Governments like to see happen.

"Operation Barbeque" must be well planned and lots of support to make it successful.

No postage required. That's probably one of the few things that's free.

I'm giving this a ride back up to the top.  Chris needs a bunch of us to write those letters.  Come on folks; it's not that tought, and it doesn't matter if you get all the words spelt right or the puntuation either.  Jist rite somethin and say whut ya think.  You have to let these decision-makers know that this stuff is important to you.
