Help with finding new waders
« on: May 10, 2019, 08:19:42 AM »

Well, after almost 9 years of great service, my waders decided it was time to retire. Since the march of time has taken it's toll on me, I no longer need something that's high end as I can't fish for extended length of time anymore. What I'm looking for is something around $200-300 range. I'm looking at Orvis Encounters or Tributary by Simms. Does anyone have any thoughts on either one or perhaps something else. Thanks

If you decide on Simms, make sure you purchase the correct size. Trying them on with clothing you would wear is a must. You should do this with any wader you purchase.

Went to my local tackle store to try the Trib waders. Unfortunately, sizing seems to be a problem. Next up will be the Orvis Encounters. Does anyone know whether the Orvis waders would be comparable to the Tribs in quality and sizing? thanks
