Just finished watching the replay as was out earlier.
Wow a win finally.
Things went BC way for a change at the end.
Ya what was the coaches thinking ???
Lots of time & they try to go on 3rd & 2.
Get the 3 pts & they have 12 instead of 9.
Then their TD gives them 19 & the lead instead of a tie game.
Then that short along the ground kick off ???
Lions get the ball at 45.
Completions & it's field goal...
Put it thru but they get 5 yd penalty.
Next kick misses but Rainie steps out catching the ball for 1 pt Lions.
( hey maybe he still has some BC Lion blood in him & kinda sub consciously stepped out  ;D )
Wasn't worried a bit in this low scoring game as this game was guaranteed W before the whistle / kick off.  ;D
Mind you Claybrook head coach must of had his heart beating quickly....oh know not again...
The mic on Reilly really shows how calm & a leader he really is.
He's cool as a cucumber.
Even with one of our best receivers out the Lions got the win.
Durant is making great catches.
Surprised Carter did not get more balls.
Lions 1-3 but should be 2-2 ( robbed last week )
3 away games & only 1 home game so far.
They should get a lot of coming home games & have an edge ...& get more W's.
Claybrook out on the field helping get his injured player to sidelines. Shows he 's got a big heart & a players coach. Go Lions Go !
Argos played a spirited game ....
Did ya see Jacque Alaine or whatever his name. Argo offensive coordinator. Not a FA favourite.

Jacques Chapdelaine. No longer standing on the sidelines flapping his arms to signal in plays. Now uses the headsets.

Ya All the best to the guy but he sure made laughable gestures when with the Lions.
Flapping his arms...mentioned & also he had his fingers hands making all sorts of movements.
Even his finger going around one of e his ears.  ;D
Kinda reminded me of the doe doe bird on drugs.
Bet he 's a good guy though. He's been around the league.
Chris mentioned about more wins for the Lions.
Hope so. Think so. Know so.
Pay back against Edmonton.
Think they play them next. Burham (sp?) is good to go.

Ouch.
Lions take another beating at the hands of the Esks.
Why why why the bad play calling ?
When the Esk D is rushing & getting to the QB why is Reilly dropping back & waiting for his recievers run 20-25 yd downfield which takes time to develope.
Where are the screens? Dump over the middle passes draw plays short 7-8 yd passes downfield ?
Plus Lions just did not have any energy it seems. They looked downcast.
They should of been so high for this game. At home & get a W over a team that beat you.
Even Reilly just did not seem to have that energy.
On special teams punts kick offs the Esk players got a lot of yds...
Play calling was much better in Calgary & Toronto so why did they not make the same adjustments in this game?

The playcalling rest solely on the shoulders of Jarius Jackson. He was a mediocre quarterback as a pro and a mediocre Offensive Coordinator. Has absolutely no idea how to neutralize the blitz. No quick passes, no screens or draws. No moving the launch point.  Seen the same movie last year. Seems like his solution is to have receivers run 40 yards downfield. Might work if the offensive line can hold off the rush.

Totally agree with all your pts on J J.
Get short passes working & gives the team confidence ...plus it sets up the odd long ball as D comes up to cover the short stuff.
Plus the Lion D gets a breather when they are getting longer rests on the sidelines.
Yes we have a great QB & great recievers but if the OL can't stop the rush Reilly will be out of timing...with his recievers. Then adjustments have to be made.
Reilly a pro should be allowed to call the plays he wants.
Guy upstairs can give info from his eagle view.
A QB should be able to call his own plays period.

The book is out on Jackson. Teams know how to defend the Lions now. Bring the heat; Jackson has no idea how to neutralize the blitz.

Kinda busy on Sat. so finally got time to watch replay of a Stamps vs Tigercats.
Could only watch 1/2 of the game as it's 1:50 am. Too late so just checked the score & Tigercats get the W. 30-23 or something like that.
16/16 at half time & Tigercats get 16 pts even though they got 22 net offence yds in 2 qtrs !!!
Yep special teams got them the pts.
Stamps may develop into a good team but they definitely are not the team of 2018. They lost too many key players.
At least this game was exciting ( half the game I watched )
It had the feeling both teams were up for the game.
Not like the Lions who seem to look flat emotionally.
Do the Lions as a team have internal problems ?
Teamates not getting along?
Pro jealousy ? Your $ too high & mine too low idea.
Ego problems.
If losses keep happening the internal problems will only magnify.
Finger pointing starts...
Media starts their negative sports reporting.
Hope  Claybrooks gets a fair chance as sometimes the headcoach is first to go.
Remember Bill Laforge short stay as Canuck coach.

Stamps. & Argo sssss
Low scoring game. 3rd starting & it's 11-9 Stamps.
Chapdelaine got some good calls in & Argos get a major.
Waking up. (In first half)
Big hit & Argo fumbles the ball & it's 6 pts / 2 pt conversion going the other way.
If I were the ref my call would of the guy was down on the play.
As for the Lions...think they are going to come out & win big against the Riders.
Kinda like Hulk Hogan getting roughed up but he starts shaking his fists & arms as he's being punched more ...then he erupts like a volcano & rebounds big & wins the match.
The Lions have had enough sand kicked in their face & it 's time to rebound.
Now it's back to the game in Calgary.
Today it hailed there & then sun rain sun ...ha ha prairies weather in the summer. Mixed bag sometimes.
This Argo QB is the pits.
Like the weather in Calgary. He's got tunnel vision & throws balls right into coverage. Argos going to sleep zzzzzzzzz. They are much worst than BC. They need a QB bad. The guy they have is back up material at best. Get a solid QB & Argos will go places. Weak link in the chain.

Talking about QBs Jonathan Jennings gets a start with Ottawa vs Blue Bombers.
Think Argos are going to lose this one as they are going downhill fast & Stamps getting all the breaks & momentum. One gets that feeling seeing what's going on the field.

7 turn overs for Argos. Game set & match. Argos lost. Stamps win.
Ugly game.
0-5 Argos record.
No wonder their home games have so many un filled seating even between the 40 to 40 yds lines section.
In a major populated city too. Sad.
Not enough good QBs in the league right now.
Got to get some of those TSN CFL guys in coaching. Ha
Gotta get FA to become Lion advisor soon or else get those past Leaf brown paper bags for the Lion fans attending home games. Knowing Chris he's got 1000s he's willing to sell "for a good price"  :o

Seen 3rd & 4th qtrs & it was all Blue Bombers.
Via score it was all Blue Bombers in the 1st half.
Winnipeg 5-0
Harris had a great game. Ex Lion
Jennings QB pulled after 3qtrs. (Terrible effort)
Matt Nichols QB has a great effort as normally the case
Lions need games against Argos Ottawa Montreal & Sk.....& their record will improve fast ...me thinks.
Tonight's game another ugly one.

Was going to watch this game later tonight...but changed my mind & am watching "live".
Great game.
Bc Lions & Sk Roughriders are making plays ( even trick plays )
Lots of creativity.
3rd qtr & at the moment Lions ahead 19-18 but Sk has the ball just yds from taking it in.
At least it's exciting & close.
Shoot ...Sk gets TD after 11 straight plays. ( with help by penalties against Lions on this drive )
Come on BC rebound & keep fighting.
Well the 2nd half was not kind to the Lions.
Floor collapsed under their feet.
Sk QB & gang were playing great ball.
Sk D playing AAA.
Special teams too.
They lost their game last week in their house so they were wanting to redeem themselves & SK did just that.
Lions played better than some of their past defeats so that's a good sign.
Honestly they should be so ready for next weeks home game.
Lions vs Sk in return match at BC Place.
Again the protection was not as good as it should of been.
Defense seems to give up too many yds & miss tackles.
Very close game at half time.
It's gotta get better as they are near rock bottom at the moment.
Reilly please go to the hot tub...get message...buy some elastic sports supports for elbows knees etc...

Lions are a team in complete disarray. Tackling is atrocious. No imagination on offence. Too predictable

Your so right. On a few short passes the Lion misses the tackle & the Rider goes for big yardage.
If the tackle is made the play gets zero yardage or 1 yard at best.
Plus so many arm tackles...were just run thru.
Seems like when a Rider gets the ball there was no Lion withing 4-5 yds & when Lions get the ball there's tight coverage....( covered like wall paper )
But honestly these Lions must win their return match with the Riders next week.
If they lose big then major chances will have to be made.
My guess Lions will get the W.
