The shoe has dropped from the other foot ....as the saying goes.
Media in Vancouver have brought out the knives...
They have written topics like: time to get new Lion ownership. ( do not understand that one )
Media have then blamed the GM ....He put this team together ( they wrote )
Then they wrote there is new coach & assistant coaches...
Lots of new players....of course.
When the media puts on the pressure...ya know the Lions organization will respond with a good 60 minute game or they will fold in the 2nd half ?
After dust settles on Sat. night that question will be answered.
Go Lions Go.... My guess guarantee W for Leos. Yep ya heard it here.

Ya ...your right ...it's a leap to pick the Lions to win.
Lions self implode either on special teams defense or offense.
But they are at home...rested...playing a team with a back up QB...& with the media attacks this past week ( bad press acts like smelling salts ) they should be fired up to get a WIN !!!
Plus it's Geroy Simon & Darren Flutie induction night.
Plus I've got a little paper that says a Lion & Rider win = $$$
Plus a 2nd little paper that says a Lion & Argo win = $$$
So far a Rider win.
Need the Lions to win badly or else my little paper is useless.
It's time to put it together.
Agree with you Arceneaux would of helped this team. He was a Ra Ra guy too ! ( good in the dressing room ) He made a great catch in the Rider/Renegade game...20 yd & get toe in...
But sadly Riders rarely call his number
Keep Braley as he pays the bills faithfully & his job is done.
The GM coaches players are solely responsible for a winning or losing team.
& those season ticket fans....they should either boo or cheer more loudly.

Well a big OUCH !
My faith in the Lions to come up with a big game cost me $$$ ( bet & lose )
13-10 loss.
A lousy 10 pts at home.
In the red zone & picked off.
2 interceptions.
How many times was Reilly sacked & also roughing the passer....
Honestly staying in the pocket works only if your O line can protect the passer. 9-10 the pocket protection collapses.....
So why stay in the pocket?
Reilly has to drop back & then roll to his right....
The other night (Thurs) the Raiders D line was bringing in the rush but the Green Bay QB ran to his right to buy time. If he did not roll out he would of been steam rolled on every passing down.
Raiders were just totally busting thru the O line with ease. Exhibition game played in Winnipeg.
If I knew the Tigercats would only score 13 pts my conclusion this game is a Lions win.
Honestly give Reilly 2 weeks off to rest his body & mind & put O'Brian in. Possibly he could jump start this team. Anything just anything.
This team is rock bottom.
Bright spot was the D played a very good game.
It's amazing the Lion fans are not booing loudly.
Guess they have pity on the players & coaches.
Hate to say this but maybe big changes coming this week?
Firings or big trades or players let go...something has to be done to shake up this team.
Jennings Lulay QBs got pressured a lot but they rolled out of the pocket to buy time & throw down field.
Yes the O line should allow Reilly time to set up & throw but if they cannot then Reilly smell the coffee & scramble time. Better than sitting in the pocket & getting crushed over & over.
2nd down 3rd down punt...
They missed a field goal that was not far away & threw a pick when in the red zone.
10 pts right there that wins this game 20-13. OUCH.

He's like a tackling dummy bag on the practise field.
$750,000 tackling dummy bag.
Imagine in practise a D lineman went to plough into a tackling dummy bag & as he was about to hit it the bag suddenly moved !!!!
( rope tied around the bag & the rope was yanked...result missed tackle. )
So...tie a rope around Reilly & yank it as he is about to be sacked....better yet roll out of the pocket.
Simple as eating a freshly baked apple pie with ice cream.
Problem: QB is being sacked 7 x in the pocket & other times late hit on QB or rushed throws or pass knocked down by D lineman or ball hit out of QB hands as he attempts to throw or interceptions in red zone area.....
Answer: quick over the middle passes...short 7-14 yd pass routes that develops quicker...screen passes & QB rolls out of the pocket on longer pass routes downfield.

I concur with quick passes. Everybody including Ray Charles can see it except our Offensive Coordinator. Reilly is holding on to the ball waay too long. Get rid of the ball if the play isn't there and avoid giving up more ground. One of the first things they teach a quarterback.

When I read Ray Charles ..was thinking about a football player possibly..lots of football players with Charles ...then ok got it after 5 seconds ...oh ya that Ray Charles. Piano /dark sunglasses.

I'd like to know the degree the QB or OC has authority to call plays. Can Reilly over rule the OC ?
Does OC only suggest plays & it's Reilly that has the last say OR does Reilly just follow what plays to run requested by the OC ?
Joe Paopao the new OC for Ottawa has stated the way he runs things ...he will suggest plays but he gives the green light for the QB to over rule him. & call the play the QB is comfortable with. 
Great you & I see the need for more shorter passes because of no time to set up properly in the pocket.
Then it sets up some longer passes to surprise the DBs as they creep up to cover the short stuff.

J Jackson or the OC definately comes up with the over all game plan I assume & definately JJ plan is totally not working.
Defense hold Lions to 10 pts at home with the players they process.
Think their team chemistry is at a zero & bet their practises are full of strife & chaos because players are finger pointing arguing etc...
Reilly will not get sacked if he throws quick hitters.
He will not get sacked if he throws screens..
He will not get sacked if he rolls out of the pocket...
Imagine a game where he does not get sacked even one time.

Guess Thurs or Friday.
20 something to 16 whatever.
Gee thank goodness never seen the game as was going to put a a Sports Action bet for a Lion win.
Saved $$$$ 
Thought these guys would suck it up & come out & play hard.
Still going to watch the replay sometime to see "how they managed to lose again"
Read they have a new O line coach.
This team is so down.
My guess the Lion season ticket base will drop / attendance...
Did they not charge more for season tickets to cover the big signings.
Think within the Lion system the players self implode as Reilly eats up a big $$$ & that means other players on the team get a smaller piece of the pie.
Reilly got a big slice with ice cream. JEALOUSY will stop team chemistry.
Will the signing be like the Mark M. Canuck signing...(ex Oiler...ex Ranger )
Or Big Country Grizzlies.... $$$$$$$$$ but not good results.

Lions QB only sacked 2x !!!
They could of won this game so easily but again they stalled in the red zone.
Actually seen improvements.
Sometimes a team has to go thru hard knocks when so many major changes were done from coaches / players...
Takes time to adjust & jell.
Do not worry FA the Lions will roar again sooner or later.
Check out Ottawa & Argos record. Not very good either.
Esks Harris injured so they may go for a slide...plus they have recent losses...
Talking about Renagades ....they will be chopped meat for the hungry Lions !!!!
Lions should win this game "for sure" unless they pull out another trick or two on how to lose close games. They easily could have 5-6 W's if they could play a better 4th qtr.
Lions will win the coming home game. FA will go home happy !!!!

FA you may be right.
What scares me is Jennings has played at BC Place more times than Reilly.
It's his old stomping grounds & he just may come out & play the game of his life.
Plus to prove to the Lions they made a mistake not signing him.
But my $$$ will go on the Lions but as both teams are losing teams the pay back is not good so why bet?

Tell ya one thing this season has been like a soap opera.
Media is hockey crazy in Vancouver so....sports reporters hardly criticize the Lions.
Now if this was Regina...there would be a page or 2 in the Leader Post blasting the GM coaches players

Reilly #13 QB is having a great game on Friday 13th full moon.
This team is "spooky".
Even Carter has a TD.
Now should the Lions lose this game they will really be supreme "spooky".
No sacks on Mike R. so far.
How cool is that.
FA ya must be having a good time " finally " in a home game.
Ottawa kinda looks like the recent past Lions. A down team.
Let's finish these guys off & then go to Ottawa next week for desert. (Another W ) 
Still lots of football to go so Lions keep it up & do not take take foot off the pedal.

EDIT IN: end of game & Lions actually get their 1st home win. 
Since Bates the new O line coach came in the O line has played very very good.

Defence holds Ottawa to zero TDs
Return match next week in their home field.
Burnham is the big target for Reilly.
Actually my only beef is Carter should have his # called at least 3x a game for a streak or long bomb.
Route should be at least 10 yards from the sidelines. In other words give him room to adjust to the ball should it be off line. Carter has speed & height to run under the ball. Too close to sidelines & the catch may be out of bounds thus it's all for nothing.
Good feeling to get the W.
