Just got home after celebrating the Lions' victory with a well deserved post game meal. As Chris is fond of saying we're rolling, rolling, rolling  ;D

Lions vs Redblacks (what is a Redblack....it's better than having 2 CFL teams named the Roughriders )  Return matchup. Two teams with a losing record...RedBlacks have a chip on their shoulder.
Ottawa marching downfield on running plays !!! Game has "HEAT".
Go Lions Go !

69-12 !!! That will bring back the swagger feeling.
All smiles on the sidelines.
OL has been touched on the head with a fairy wand it seems.
Mercy rule in effect. O'Brian in at QB plus with only yds from end zone Lions take a knee & run out the clock.
Happy Days are here again.
Expected this in game 1 but at least it's happening now !!!
Now is what counts.
John White TD run for TD had such a big hole even 85 yr old granny could of run it in for a score...or even " what's his name ....member here ...could of run it in!!!!  ;D
Let's play football boys...lots of good catches runs defence...Lions on a roll & hope they keep it going !

What an interesting & enjoyable game. Started slow but then offences on both sides got red hot.
What a crazy ending inwhich it looked like the Lions were going to lose.
Lions shoot themselves in the foot like in their other crazy losing games...but no ...3rd down 60 sec on clock & a field goal chip shot gives the Als a 1 pt lead.
They decide to go for the TD on the 2 yd line.
Lions make the stop ...measurement & it's short.
Lions on 2nd & long will have to punt the ball away to the Als if they cannot get 8yds.
Pass incomplete & Als defender gets a pass interference penalty !!! 1st down Lions & they run out the clock.
This time it 's the Als who made the game blunder !!!
Great stop on the 3rd down gamble !!! Lions got the stop that would of given the Als the win.
How do they not go for the sure thing field goal ???  ;D
Hope FA heart is slowing down after that wild finish.
Reilly over 300 yds passing.
His arm looked strong. Go Lions Go!!!!
Game started at 7pm but as it got darker outside the Lions got more on the prowl. Just like real pride of lions in Africa. Hunt after darkness falls.

It was chilly sitting in the stadium with the roof opened. Als took advantage of the Lions' undersized defensive line and ran the ball at will. Khari Jones' decision to go for it on 3rd down on the 2 yard line cost the Als the game.

Ya say it was chilly with the stadium roof opened.
Most nights I go on a 30 minute pedal bike ride to kill some evening calories & yes just in the last few PMs the temp. is no longer in the 60's F but in the 50's & even one night 48 F.
Ya I know the Celsius is in but they still use YARDS & not metres in the CFL ! But think of those really cold games in Alberta SK & Manitoba !!! -30 & colder & wind & snow.
Yet they build new multi million dollar stadiums with no retractable roof ???? Blunder ! And another blunder.....last night. Lion players & coaches must be still laughing. 3 wins in a row.

3rd & goal kick a field goal & win by a pt. should the defense stop the Lions with little time on the clock.
Guess how Reilly with 3-4 plays near near the end of the 1st half & got the field goal scared the Als so they wanted the TD which would force the Lions to also get a TD with 60 sec left in the game.
The Als defence must of felt bad as the coach did not trust they could stop the Lions in getting to field goal range.

Impressive win by the Lions. 55-8 over the Toronto Argos. Lions win coupled with a Leaf defeat. Perfect evening.

Impressive win indeed. Everything went right for the Lions. They could do no wrong.
Is this the same team that started the season ??? Same coach ???? Same QB Same O-line ??? Same D.
Argos OC is ya Jacque Chap.... ;D
Un-real catches by Burnham.
Even Carter was all white teeth. Smile from ear to ear. He made some good catches & got more attention.
Lions win ,Leafs lose ya say. O boy noted Leaf fan(s) not happy.
Canucks kinda look sleepy. 0-2.
Going to be interesting in Edmonton next week. Pay back time.
Will our O line keep our QB safe in that game ?
Edmonton plan will be "get Reilly".
Lion players/coaches were laughing joking smiling all game long on the sidelines.
Sleep better & enjoy their meals /digest food better/ even BM better ( crap better )  ;D
Think this W deserves a glass of France red wine or two.
One thing with being at the game you see the whole field & where all the players run. On boob tube the camera follows the ball so one only sees 25% of what is going on. I missed 75% of each play.
FA another drive home smiling singing "Dixie".
Grey Cup sooner than later !!!

Next week's game should be a good one. I hear Edmonton players are talking about bringing out the brooms. Just what the Lions need; dressing room motivation.

Just finished 2 red wine drinks ( glass a little bigger than average but not by much ) & about 2.5 hrs Elvis songs he sang in Vegas.
For some odd reason checked this site & there was FA 2 nd post on the CFL.
Life full of surprises.
Yep that is music to the Lions ears...other team predicting a sweep should get the Lions juices flowing !!!
Weather conditions ?
Cold snow wind can play a big factor as well.
Go Lions Go. Kick their butt!

My plan was to get home by 4pm to watch Edmonton vs BC game from Alberta. Was delayed via longer conversations / hard to keep visit short sometimes. Anyways just put boob tube on & it's into the 2nd Qtr & the tv guy says that Reilly has a broken rib thought he said but they showed replay of the hit & Reilly is holding his wrist ??? as he walked off the field.
So did I hear right ...is it rib ? Or is it his wrist.
The way he held his wrist I have to strongly believe it's a broken wrist. Not his throwing hand.
Reilly's tough but he's out for the season as is Durant a reciever. CRAZY.
Well doesn't that suck.
Next year.
Murphy's Law message in the fortune cookie for the BC Lions 2019 season. Everything went wrong.
Every Lion fan must have aged faster & got extra grey hair.

Good night Irene.
Next year bring in tons of O linemen & get guys that will protect our QB.
EDIT IN: watched some rugby games going on in Japan.
These guys are super strong & tough. No pads or helmet & they hit & tackle each at full speed & force.
During game a player who had the ball is running gets tackled to the ground & player literally pile onto the poor guy like bulls trying to gore. In the CFL the ref would call piling on penalties.
The thought that came to me was....these world class rugby players would make star defensive or O line players !!!
They also would be great running backs.
& ya even field goal kickers. ( they kick the ball thru posts from extreme angles )
Lions need a O line...they should hire 5 world class rugby players.
And 2 for running backs.
Finally one for kick offs / field goals.
One thing for sure is the Lions will have a better season next year.
Repeat: fix the O line in trading camp & this team will go places.

Lions vs Riders at home without their #1 QB.
O'Brian the #2 guy ...got reps all week. Did not help one bit. He's the "pits".
The Lion 3rd stringer QB gets injured in his try later in game. He looks like the "pits" too.
Anyone got Doug Flutie's phone number ?
Lions poo their pants in this one. Well they are out of playoffs before the whistle blew but SK fighting for 1st place with Stampers ( & Winnipeg in mix too )
Something tells me the Lions kinda gave this game away ...so Sk gets the western final in Regina possibly. Sub consciously lost of course so not 100% on purpose.
Who wants the Stamps to go all the way ...most of CFL fans do not. They have had enough Cups in recent yrs. But should Stamps get the Cup again well then "good for them". Best team win is my thinking. Lions owner has team for sale. Been a very hard yr for him & Lion fans.
