And since it is just me here, we get to talk a lot of Preds.  LOL

Been an amazing start to the season.  The signing of Matt Duchene seems to have been just what the doctor ordered.  The defensive play needs some work but this team can score some goals and they skate FAST.  4 games in, Duchene has 8 points, 7 assists and a goal.  Forsberg has scored in every game.

And if you want to watch one hell of a hockey game, last night's game was CRAZY.  Playing the Caps.  Caps go up one, we tie it.  They go up 1 again, we tie it.  They go up 2, down 4-2 after 2 periods.  Come out and score 5 minutes into the 3rd.  Then score again less than a minute later to tie it up again at 4.  Caps score again.  We tie it up with 5 minutes left.  Less than a minute later, defenseman bombs one in from the blue line.  6-5.  Complete back and forth game.  So many of the plays were just crazy.  There were times our guys made the Caps look like they didn't even know how to skate but then other times where the Caps did the same to us.

Not watching hockey as yet.
Sometimes hear the score.
Your team sounds like they are off & running.
A promising start.
Just do not get first place & then get kicked out in 4 games in Round 1 ...remember last year with other top teams.
Ya type & state that defenseman bombs one from the blue line 6-5
Ya but....6-5 for "Who?" Caps or Preds win ?
Leafs got hammered FA states.
GM I heard wants to trade entire team including coach to Vegas for....their coach & team. ;D
Leafs are in a slump.
Honestly Nashville has only 31/0 chance & odds are not very good to be champions.
Team plays with heart most games but they always run out of gas......like most teams in the playoffs.
They need more coffee & bread donuts cake ...to get to the finals. ( & sleep )

TNA glad your team is putting out an effort. The game you described sounded so exciting....
But who got the go ahead goal?  ;D
Watched the Canucks vs Flyers game & it went to OT & Canucks get the W.
Ya know the Canucks looked good. Like their additions to the team.
(willing to put in the effort.)
Mind you the Flyers have flown like 10,000 miles already or some crazy amount having played their first two games over seas ( regular or exhibition games ? )
Liked the nice teal coloured uniforms / jersey of the Canucks.
50 yrs in recent NHL & still no Stanley Cup.
Eat more donuts bread coffee Canucks & ya just win game 7.  Happy times if ya do & possibly riot if ya do not.  :o
FA & arimaBOATER says : Go Canucks Go ! Hope we slaughter the Preds & Leafs.  ;D

Read Chris's & FA texting on Sport FWR Sport Chat & they are true & blue fans of the Leafs & Canucks.
Time will tell if they have a good season & more important a run for Stanley.
So far both have winning records.
Canucks have blossomed into a very respectable team.
They just look so confident & a good blend of talent. Checking offensive talent size speed hitters ...from net out so far AAA!
Now for the Nashville Preds. TNA's team.
Well as he stated the Preds are doing well. The changes they made in additions & getting rid of "so called great defenseman" is a good move.
Preds beat Knights in Vegas !!! Well that's good enough proof that Nashville is the real deal.
( Forsberg injured though in game & did not return ??? ......injuries can destroy a season. Remember Bure getting injured Bobby Orr injured Mario L. injured on & on ...)

Well ya never know.
Very very exciting game.
When Canucks were down 3-1 with 2 quick Blues goals thought there is no way the Canucks will get any pt(s) in standings for this game.
Playing the Stanley Cup Champions.
Both teams skating hard & when smoke cleared it was 3-3 at the end of 60 minutes.

In OT with all the open ice the Canucks had 90% of the play & tons of chances to score but excellent saves by Billington (sp?)
Goes to the shoot out & after so many saves by both goalies finally a great goal ...Canucks get the 2 pts in standings.
Game was fast skating by both teams but it was non physical.
Ya know if this was a playoff game there would be big open ice hits & body checks along the boards by the Blues.

Demko Canucks backup guy played great.
Both teams played hard & both teams at the end of the night respected each other's effort. Fun to watch. Blues & Canucks sure got my respect for each other's effort.

Mean while Preds blow a tire against Arizona think it was.
Leafs lost to Caps in close game Wed.  Their Capt. out for next few wks with broken finger.

TNA not happy with the loss at home. Maybe they played ok but goalie was weak or goalie ok but team infront played lousy OR goalie & team played the craps.  ;D

As was busy ..had to watch replay...but had no idea who won. Gee the replay game was exciting so whoever watched the live game must of had their hearts pumping .....
What I like so far is the Canucks have that drive or energy !!!
Also they are scoring from the slot & in front of the net.
They are not just staying outside the box & afraid to go to the net like past yrs.

Sorry guys. Was in Vegas for the last week.  Preds beat the Caps in the previous game.  We went to the game against Vegas in Vegas.  That was a fun night.  Hopefully Forsberg is not out long as the team looked like it wasn't sure what to do with that line and it just messed things up.  Also, we suck playing in Arizona for some reason.

Canucks Leafs & Preds all played Sat. All close contests.
Only Leafs got the cigar.
Booooooooooooooooooooo!
Leafs must have a good team to beat Boston.
(Maybe Boston players were sicky...colds flu or hangovers  ;D)
Preds on losing streak kinda...

Our top scorer has been out the past two games and the team is struggling without his presence.  That and we can't seem to stop the power play.  Our penalty kill has been horrible this year for some reason.  It will get worked out though I am sure.
