This just gets worse and worse. It is hard to believe that most FN people approve of this. At least I would sure LIKE to believe this is about a small minority of wrong headed individuals who are destroying everyones patrimony, their own band's included. It seems to me that at this point the people who supposedly have the authority to regulate this situation are all either suffering with serious backbone problems or they just don't give a (you fill in the blank here). Nor does it seem like sportsmen (and women too) are likely to be vocal enough to put some startch in the spines of these public officials (how many letters finally got written from this board?).
Who is left to get these abusers under control? It seems to me that the other members of FN bands, and the (I'm hoping here) vast majority of consiencious band members are our best hope. I don't know how to get to these people, but if I had FN friends (Larry, who helped us out at Palmer Lake, where are you?), I would be talking to them and trying to enlist their help.
I'm not in the "barbeque" loop. I would volunteer, and I would make the six hour drive up to where you guys are, but in a couple of days I have to go to Mexico for several months (invitation for FWR members to come visit is still open--Dragon Speed has the details, I believe). I hope the BBQ works out, and I wish you godspeed and success--it's a noble cause.
