Calgary coach fired for his words/actions 10 yrs ago.
Don Cherry fired for his words...
Pres. Trump impeachment proceedings for his words...
In the ears of the beholder.
A lot of people believe Cherry was fired because his act has run it's course.
35 plus yrs of his bold talking loud suits plus his advanced age...
Time for new younger blood.
Now the Calgary coach resigns under pressure.

If the Fames were "on fire" & in 1st place & this situation came up you just know the spin would be...from the Calgary management ....we do not condone what happened 10 yrs ago but it was done in the heat of the moment. If we fired all NHL players or coaches for wrong doings or slip ups a lot of very good players / coaches would not be in the league.
We stand behind our coach as today he is a different changed person.
Let's be understanding.

As they say...nothing as constant as change.

After the blow out meltdown against the Pens FA was on thin ice...advisor but before the high ups made their move the Canucks beat the Oilers.

Babcock according to Chris Chelios a great defence man was so verbally abusive that a player had to seek help for depression. Plus he claims the coach in his face for scoring too many goals
Kinda like he was suppose to be more defensive minded.
What??? Most coaches want their D man to get involved in the offensive side of things.
Coaches in some cases are getting very abusive to their players.
Power trip.
Now we have Mark Crawford coach in hot water....
Just a matter of time possibly players will complain about Torts or Mike Keenan. Or other hard nose coaches.
Can you imagine the old USSR hockey coaches said or did to their players. 
We trade you to team Siberia...many miles north of here.
