Calgary fishing -need advice
« on: June 24, 2020, 10:18:41 PM »

Hi , Looking for some advice. Planning to be in Calgary for a few days around July 15.  Want to go for day trip with my granddaughter.
I would prefer some place within 2-2.5 hours drive.  Fish species and size not really important. Looking for some actions to make her entertained. Guided service is OK too.
No boat and no Fly fishing rods.
Please PM me if you don't want to provide hot spot info in open forum.

Thank you in advance,
lapa

I haven't lived there for a lot of years, but the Bow River runs through the city - lots of parks to go to and hook up with some trout....

Little Bow Provincial Park is nice day trip - couple hours drive if I recall.

Check out https://crackmacs.ca/lifestyle/fishing-around-calgary/ for some good ideas

for regs http://www.albertafishingguide.com/location/zones/PP2

Search youtube as well, there's tons on there.

Good luck!
