Norrish Creek Bridge on Hawkins Pickle Road - is it out?
« on: December 10, 2021, 06:39:16 PM »

Does anyone know if the bridge is out or is it still intact? My wife and I go up there this time of year for Xmas related stuff and I wondered what the situation was like up there.

That’s a short, remote, stretch of dead end road, Ralph.

Now I’m really curious what is so Chrismassy along that piece of road! 😀

I'd never give up my secrets for love but I might for money if the sum was right.

it requires lots of time and work. The time up there is just the start. We've doing this for more than 20 years. I blame Martha Stewart. It involves a lot of floral wire and a length of rope. I won't provide anymore clues.

We've done it in snow and pouring rain. I like it up the there. There is a good trail up the east side and I'd like the walk to the end one day. The coho are rather booty by this time though people still fish for them. I enjoy watching...the fish. We regularly see eagles and once I watched an dipper dive repeatedly and come up with a salmon egg each time.

Sounds like a mission for greenery! I love those kinds of family Christmas traditions.

Just before the end of the road is a spring that coho and chum return to. I've always enjoyed standing at the side of road and watching them too.

Happy wreathing, garlanding, or whatever you are up to.

OK Ok. It is a grub search for greenery. Here are some photos of the finished product.
