DS you spent 7 1/2 hrs. on that little gravel bar? LOL....I gave it 5 minutes Sat. and maybe a 20 min. today after you left. When MR. I Don't Watch Where my Hook Goes, tried to floss me (right on the kisser)...that's was enough for me....he was let off with a stern warning. I have to say.... that spot is the central location of the Pegleg Gong.
For FF's sake...I scolded 4 clowns who had warn out, then netted and sand box examined a sock that had a flesh wound where the adipose fin should have been and were going to release because they though it was rotten? Stopped them dead in their tracks and actually had one reply, "I guess it wouldn't be etiquette." NO $HIT DIPSTICKS!! How about we take a jetboat, tie a rope around your neck and play you out for a bit in the water. Then when we decide to haul you on board with the big dipnet, one of us sees a mole on your a$$ and decide, I ain't keeping that and throw you back. Then I gave another 2 clowns the same tongue lashing for beaching (on sand) a snagged sock, his buddy decided that shoving his finger into the gills is the only way to carry it for release. Needless to say when he put it in the water it was belly up. My buddy interveened and said you better bonk it now. I shook my head.
My only fish to the beach was a RELEASED 18 ish lb spring, that yes, was foul hooked in the pectoral fin...I had to laugh at the looks I got from that little bar as my bro released it.
