Well last saturday till 2 days ago we were in sooke fishing. We also went once to renfrew and got 11 7-12 pund pacific cod and 5 springs. We also got a 35 pound halibut and lost a 80 plus pounder at the boat. the guide tried to net it and it broke the net and got away. Ya i know why did he try to net it
we also lost about 3 more springs at the boat. all of this was in one 7 hour trip. then we went salmon fishing around sooke 3 more times and in total on those 3 trips we hooked and landed 7 springs, 4 coho, and 5 sockeye but we could only keep the sockeye before the 11th so we had to let 2 go. the biggest spring was 29 and a half pounds and the smallest was 9 pounds. the biggest coho was 10 and a half pounds and the smallest was 4 pounds. the biggest sockeye was a huge 11 pounder and the smallest was 5 pounds. We also had to let go about 9 wild coho. GREAT FISHING THIS YEAR had lots of fun.
