Shimano baitcaster - Curado 300E
« on: March 10, 2023, 02:01:42 PM »

I have use this reel for all species of salmon as well as steelhead.  I liked it so much that I bought another but it has sat in the box new and never spooled.  Receipt shows I paid $375 taxes included back in 2013.  Does anyone know if this reel has held its value?  If so, I may sell it but if not, it’s getting spooled up as an extra.

Looking at sold examples on Ebay, you should be able to get anywhere between $300 to what you actually paid for it. It's considered one of the best baitcasters of all-time so they do hold their value.

I have a 300e7 and 200e7 and have no plans to sell either of them.

Is it a lefty or a righty. I would be interested in the reel if you decided to let it go!!!!

I sent you a PM BMo86.

It is a righty.  When I was looking, I couldn’t find a lefty (not sure if Shimano made one).  I stuck with righty with my Calcutta 400 and 400TE as well.  Used to using them now.  My spinning and fly gear is all lefty.
