Freshwater fishing license fee increase
« on: March 18, 2023, 03:33:23 PM »

The Province has announced an increase in the fees of 10% for the 2023/24 license year.

Check on line to see if you can get the license at last year's price.

Fees are scheduled to be increased in 2024/25 by another 4%.

The increase takes place on April 1st, so if you purchase your 2023/2024 licence now, it's still the same price as previous years.

No big deal to me.

A 10% increase for a fishing license is still cheap imo. A lot of bang for the buck.

All good have to cover off inflation and lake fishing has really improved  in so many areas since the money from licences went to all these programs. Lots of good fishing docs got put in as well.

I agree, if somebody were to complain about a 4$ increase that they pay once a year and that was the only increase in about 20 years. Seems ludicrous to see that as not reasonable..

I will heed your words of wisdom and will wait till April 1st to renew. Why not pay an extra 4 bucks? It’s all for a good cause. Same with Wally Hall steelhead derby. I even weighed a fish into it this year.

Freshwater fishing licenses are an illegal regulatory requirement of a corrupt regime.

I rarely angle for hatchery raised fish. So what am I paying a licence fee for? To fish for wild fish that pre-existed the current regime by thousands of years?

Wrong!

I took an antidisestablishementarianism pill last night.

It will wear off soon. I’ll be fine.
