Lost CP setup on the side of HWY7
« on: October 28, 2023, 01:15:18 PM »

So had a moment this morning and at around 11am I drove off with my rod still leaning on my tailgate! Was fishing Nicomen slough. Its nothing fancy. Rainshadow cp rod with blue wraps and the butt is broken off. Has an avon reel and a Sage reel sock on it. Ill leave my cell here if anyone has found it Ill get you a bottle or flat or beer of your choice.  Thanks, Dan-778 990 8369

Great to hear you got it back!

Many years ago I had made a similar mistake, leaving my rod on my tonneau cover while taking my waders off and then driving off, and it was through this board that my rod/reel made it back to me as well.

A suggestion that came from here that I have done ever since is when I get back to a vehicle my rod either goes directly inside or on the windshield. If I drive off while starring at it on the windshield, that's on me lol. Haven't made the same mistake twice.
