Pop up ads
« on: October 08, 2024, 06:02:54 AM »

I’ll start by saying I’m not very tech savvy but I have a question. Does anyone else get a ton of pop up ads when navigating this site ? This never used to happen here before. Now it happens all the time. I’m only ever using my iPhone or my iPad when on this site. Is it the devices bringing all these ads or the actual site ?

It is this site. The ads are not mobile friendly so it’s hard to find the x to remove the pop up.
I’m now getting one per session instead of one per click.
I have no problem supporting rod by looking at ads but this implementation might be the worst I’ve seen.

I've seen the ads on my phone and they are hard to find the "x" to close them I agree. I usually access the site from my desktop at work though.

It’s every time for me on iPhone or iPad. General discussion. Buy and sell etc. Every time I try and open something different.

I'm using an Iphone and an Imac and like I said never any pop ups and I think it's the browser I use that prevents them. I have been using Brave for quite a few years now and never any problems.

Every click on this site..me too, iPhone ..
technology in many ways seems to be quickly becoming more of a hinderance and a pain in the a** rather than the benefit to mankind it was intended to be.

So could be the device, could be the browser. Varied experiences with the pop ups. Thanks for helping the technologically challenged. AKA, me.
