It was. I called a DFO office and they had an FO call me back. I left it at that.

So has anyone been fishing on the Lower Fraser since it's been open 3 days? I have been wondering about water clarity. I went over at Mission and Alex Fraser a few days ago and the river looked brown.

It opens Oct 31st right? I didnt check them out but will toss a spoon anyway since its close to my place

Open Oct 31 Below Port Mann.

Open Nov 2 Below Mission Bridge.

I'll be heading out Nov 2.

Looking forward to it.

I'll be going out with my kid. He's too young to fish on the tributaries, but this allows him to sit in a camping chair and watch the rod in the holder and stay safe on the bank. My expectations are not high as it is very late in the season for the coho run on the Fraser, but this will satisfy his want to go fishing for salmon and some quality time together.

I grew up bar fishing the lower fraser in the early 90's and remember having a blast, the bites were not frequent but spending time on the bar with my uncle and other regulars telling stories was great.

Early 80s for myself. The best of times. Still hard to believe it’s been taken away.
