Proposed changes for the coming years can be found here:

https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/sports-culture/recreation/fishing-hunting/ahte/angling

Anglers are invited to comment though it is unlikely anything will change between now and April 1st

The changes are not dramatic. A brief summary:

- removal of single barbless hook regulations in a number of lakes in Region 3. These lakes are described as small and mostly sustained via stocking. There little or no conservation concern so the change is to simplify regulations

- some lakes are now open for through winter and have been removed from trophy fishing regulation. Others have been added

- no changes for Region 2.

Makes me wonder if the Native fish policy is meaningless and dead in the water for Region 2.
