A renowned fly tier, his patterns are said to be the perfect balance of realism and functionality. Stanton is a pro team member with numerous fly tying companies, and his fly patterns have been featured in many publications world wide. As a fly fisherman, Stanton continues to grow the sport of fly fishing. He is an active member of Fly Fishing Canada’s Board of Directors, and was selected to Canada’s National Team in 2023, and he is also an event organizer for the British Columbia Fly Fishing League.
