A quick look Court Services Online shows that Mr. Burgener has had even more contact with the justice system than what is mentioned in the article. Not a model citizen... If I had to guess, I would say his days of getting probation and conditional discharges for assaults are over. But, of course, that's just a guess. The scales of justice will work this out in due course. Who knows, there may even be a plea bargain before the scheduled trial date...
