Prior convictions of an accused are very seldom allowed as evidence during a trial but may be considered during a sentencing hearing.
I also would not be surprised that those previous criminal acts were associated with a drinking problem. Like re-watch the video folks!
Do you wake up in the morning and think, what sh*t can I make up and post in the internet today. You have an opinion on every post on this site. I would guess 80% of the boats going up and down the Fraser or Harrison rivers in the heat of the summer have open alcohol on them. Usually not a big deal. To make a comment about someone you don't even know that they have a drinking problem would provoke them into another assault charge.
The post you made about the people that fell through the ice a couple days ago saying "there is a high cost to bad judgement". I bet the family involved really appreciate your pathetic comments. Every accidental death has bad judgement on someone's part. No one needs to be reminded about it after the incident.
