oh good catch there Gord! - should have typed barbed. I don't fish with barbed hooks
I couldn't imagine you fishing with barbs either. I mean who does in the 21st century?

new regulations or changes are marked in blue in the Water Specific Regulations Tables in the regional listings

Not all pop out. If a lake goes from catch & release, barbless hooks and no ice fishing to be catch & keep, barbed hooks allowed and also ice fishing allowed it just falls off the page.
Here is a list put together by someone for Reg 3 water bodies (rivers and lakes) present in the Water Specific Regulations for 23-25 and no longer in the Water Specific Regulations for 25-27. Indicating they had some unique regulation. Not blue highlighted.

In the proposed list of changes, a large number of lakes were moved off the water specific regulations so only Regional regulations apply. These wouldn't appear in the water specific regulation tables & so are not marked...I guess.
