Heard from a friend that fished the Chehalis today that they have deepened the front of the hatchery. Maybe this is the initial stage of repairing the Chehalis.

what has gone on here is that they dug out water up at the tail of the Bible run to allow a 30% to come toward the hatchery, this was haggled over for months as the native band wanted to do it way earlier but then changed there mind when they figured out all the fish would come up their side, so they wanted it to stay the same,   so dfo did lots of blah blah with the band and they ended up only getting this pitiful amount over, still most of the flow goes up native land. The big problem is this was done last year by the same guy which all filled in after the monster rain, so if any good rains happen again  good bye wa wa again  Cam

Just left the Chehalis.  You can easily wade across the channel in front of the hatchery spawning channel (thigh deep on me 5'9").  There are a number of tomatoes being harassed by "fishermen".  Told one guy to stop trying to snag them.  Saw 2 steelies scooting through quickly.

hey Doc sg, thx for the welcome,   when it rains its worth going other than that   its a boot spring fest   leave them alone, however dont be afraid to throw drifts through them as sneaky ho,s and steelies will be lurking under them for protection, just see if the float drops as the springs can see the offering and want nothing to do with that,  i was suprised the other day by a clean fish of unknown origin?   lost him,   bible run and canyon are you early options

Do you guys know of any website with a detailed map of the Chehalis with the names of pools, runs, etc? (something like I've seen for the Vedder, Fraser and Cap).Thanks!
