« on: September 26, 2004, 01:58:35 PM »

What an awesome day fishing today.
Hooked into 4 springs...Bonked the chromest( if that's a word) spring I have ever caught in the vedder.. mid river. Fish still had sea lice on it.
Also hooked into 4 coho's bonked on nice 10 # doe...Dinner is going to be good tonight!
All fish caught mid river...sorry guys can't reveal the hot spot:) at 8:30 to 11:30 am , and all caught on wool with 10# leader.
Will be there again tomorrow see ya all there and good luck to everyone!

Snuck away from the prize draw behind back Thompson Park with d_w, hooked and landed a 12 lbs marble (red and white) doe spring. Short floating wool in about 8-10 feet of water.

Hey Fulc, that looks like a whitefish.  Salmonid, larger scales, funny mouth.  I have been catching tonnes of those on this side of the rockies, except they are big here, and really fat, and darker, but the same thing.

I have caught a few of them in the vedder last fall winter.  they are pretty cool.

Did a little scouting after the raffle....buddy got a 12 lb. white spring, I rolled a fish....all back side of Tamihi. One run was pretty hot from the road side...seen a Ho of at least 12lb bonked.

All checked into the memory bank.  ;)

We just arrived back from the vedder an hour ago and after cleaning up and what not can finally post a report. What a Day! Fished at Allison Pools in our little not so secret run and hit into at least a dozen springs. We were only able to land three out of all those hooked but we really did'nt care as we did'nt want to keep any anywho.
But just a beautiful day, the people around Dorthy and myself were wonderful and the fishing was to good to be true. Did'nt see any coho or jack springs landed, only big whitey's and we caught all ours on pro-cured roe. Well good luck All. :D

I had to drive that stinky white spring home today, not wise on such a hot day. :) Nice fish though TS, that was why you were not with us when we were packing everything up after the event. ;)

I'm looking forward to this week's fishing.... now that the cleanup is over for another year, I can relax a bit more.
