Ha! you know what, that comes naturally, I've known Chris since I was about 8 years old... And back then, it was Mr Gadsden... I've aged, but I really don't think he has - what is it, that Chilliwack water???   ;)

Welcome aboard Nicole, good to have you on the FWR forum. All your fly fishing experience will be most welcome to the fly fishers from this site.

As you mentioned we have many good memories fishing and camping with Gordon, Andrew, Ryan and your dad on numerous bar fishing trips in years past. They certainly were good times long to be treasured. How the time has flew by.

I am sure you will also enjoy this forum in the days and years ahead as will the rest of us, hearing about your many fishing experiences.

Once again welcome and thanks very much for helping with our BC Rivers Day event yesterday.

  We recenctly had a small debate on which flyline is best suited for coho fishing  slower water like the vedder canal or possibly the dewdney slough. I'm interested on your opinion 

   P.S.    I'm also very jealous of your fly caught steelhead as I have not gotten one on the fly yet. Which river it looks like a summer run? :)

That steelhead is from the Kispiox River, located in northern BC - I'm going back up there in October, so maybe i'll have some new and better pictures to share...

As far as coho is concerned - I have two techniques, the first is to fish a floating line and a 13 - 15 foot flourocarbon leader and a weighted fly.

The other is my stillwater taper:

Now I have used only one other clear sink line, the SA Striper taper - I prefered this line, as it had less memory. We have some Cortland clear sink lines coming, so I'll give a review of that when I have a chance to try them out.

The new one that I want to try is a new line from SA which is labelled a coho line - I believe Giovanni might know something more about the origins of this line, I'll have to ask him tonight when I get home.
