Musty Coho
« on: October 18, 2004, 08:22:32 PM »

Just finished BBQing up a nice coho fillet (with lemon and dill, in foil) and found that it smelled and tasted 'musty.'

It was a bright silver doe 1 day out of the Vedder, kept cold the whole time.  After smelling the cooked fillet, I took the other fresh fillet out and smelled it... clean, not even fishy smelling.

Has anyone else encountered similar?

Thats strange.  I've had problems with musty humpies ( :-X) but never had problems with coho.  Could it have suffered some injury on the one side that was musty?
